When the country was facing an oxygen shortage during the 2nd wave of covid 19 Prof. Atrey of IIT Bombay came up with an idea to tackle this problem. In most colleges, nitrogen plants are present. He with his research team converted nitrogen-producing plants to oxygen plants.
