On the 13th of May 2021, over a year into the global pandemic, the Irish healthcare system's IT infrastructure was shut down after an attack by a Russian cyber gang. This caused chaos across the Island of Ireland with nearly every service being cancelled. Antivirus investigates the source of the malware, the funding and technology used in the system or the lack thereof, and what happened that caused an entire country's healthcare system to go offline.
