One of the craziest stories I've heard on my podcast was how Indonesia lost 10-0 in the World Cup Qualifiers in 2014. The opposition needed to slot 10 goals past Indo to qualify for the next round, because of something called "Goal Difference". Statistically, this was the only way for the opposition to go through to the next round; not just beat us, but beat us by 10 goals. And they did.
